Home Friendship Groups

We do not have wednesday evening services at our church. Instead, we have Home Friendship Groups. Home Friendship Groups are small groups of usually 10-15 people who are at various stages in their Christian development. These groups meet once a week in homes throughout the Northwest Missouri area. A Home Friendship Group is a place where the real life issues that we are facing daily are discussed from a Biblical perspective. The Home Friendship Group is a secure place where we can discuss our feelings and thoughts, regardless of our background or circumstances. People discover that God is real and active in their lives as they become friends with people who genuinely care about one another.

A Biblical Concept...

The Apostolic Church (the one started by Jesus through his apostles in A.D. 33) often met in believer's homes for food, fellowship, prayer, and worship. "So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved." --Acts 2:46-47

How It Works...

In Home Friendship Groups We:
  1. Discuss the Scriptures as they relate to life, yet they are not Bible Studies.
  2. Pray for special needs, yet they are not prayer meetings.
  3. Give encouragement whenever needed, yet they are not support groups.
  4. Have a great time, yet they are not merely social events.
  5. Develop true friendships, yet they are not friendship clubs.
  6. Experience the presence of God, yet they are not church services.
